Day 5..

Hey Guys and Girls! So I am still doing the SLJ and I'm doing 2 days a day, to get through the week faster. And I just forgot to put the link to Storm's blog. Here  STORM! . So enjoy! And please comment! And sorry if I didn't do that much.

  1. Hey Angelica,

    Me again. :)

Congratulations on completing another days worth of activities! You've managed to finish all of the Week 1 tasks even before the week's up! Very impressive. :)

That's a wonderful list of 'important things'. Family would be at the very top of my list too. Do you have a big family? I have four big sisters and one little brother. Three of my sisters have their own children as well so I've got lots of nieces and nephews and even more cousins! Does your extended family live close to you?

Have a lovely day, Angelica. I can't wait to read next weeks activity posts. :)

    Talk soon,

    Mikey

  2. Kia ora Angelica,

My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe (Northland).

I just wanted to pop in and congratulate you on completing the programme! That is such an achievement, and I hope you are proud of all the hard work you have done over the last few weeks.

I didn't know who Ann Bancroft was before reading your post, so thank you for sharing about this changemaker! I love learning about new people and what they have done, and she sounds like a very interesting and inspiring woman. Had you heard of Ann before this activity?

Don’t forget that you can still gain points by commenting on other students’ blog posts, which will hopefully help you win some awesome prizes!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla

  3. Hi Angel,

My name is Gabriel and I am a Summer Learning Journey blogger. I have seen that you have completed the program and have come to look at some of your awesome work! Congratulations on finishing!

I just read through your summary of Yursa's life. It must have been very stressful for her with a war going on in her country, I’m glad that she found something that could get her mind off of it. Do you find that swimming is calming too? What sports do you like? I really like how you have included that last line "the feeling of swimming was calm you couldn't hear anything but your own heartbeat." This sums up why Yusra finds so much peace under the water.

    Wonderful to read your work!

    Gabe
